Accessible Housing Acknowledgement

Frostburg State University offers accessible on-campus housing to students with qualifying, documented disabilities or needs. It is the student's right and responsibility to request accessible housing at their discretion. If you require accessible housing, please contact Disability Support Services at 301-687-4483 at least 90 days prior to the desired residency, medical single room accommodations will be billed at the lowest rate in the building chosen.

Special interest communities (not all offered every academic year)

As a new student you can choose to join a special interest community.

These living/learning communities are a great way for you to connect with people who share your passions and with resources that help you meet your goals at Frostburg. FSU’s communities range from first year students adjusting to life on campus, to scholars immersing themselves in their field of study, to citizen leaders helping to make the world a better place. Check to see if one of FSU’s residential communities might have something special to offer you!

First Year Experience (FYE)

The First Year Experience offers activities to help with the transition from high school to college. There are first year student options in every style of residence hall.

Single-Gender Housing

Female freshmen and upper-class students can live in a single-gender housing in Simpson Hall with a small community of about 80 residents. Male students live in single-gender housing in Diehl Hall.

Honors Housing

Choose single or double rooms and get to know other first-year students enrolled in FSU's Honors Program. 

Gender-Inclusive Housing

Students in Gender-Inclusive Housing celebrate diversity and welcome gender identities and expressions of all kinds in a safe, judgment-free environment.
